Join This Sunday

A church can be an intimidating place to visit, especially if you don't know what to expect. We would love to have you join us this Sunday. Each week Redemption Hill Church gathers together for worship. At these gatherings you can expect times of singing and prayer, preaching from the Bible, and an opportunity to connect with others in community. Come as you are, dressed as you like. You can expect to find a warm community and a safe place to ask questions.

Time & Location

Redemption Hill Church regularly gathers normally on Sundays at 9 AM & 5 PM at historic Ebenezer UMC.
400 D St SE
Washington, DC 20003

Service Times: 9 AM & 5 PM

We have two services each Sunday with the same sermon, songs, and liturgy. The 5 PM service has a quieter acoustic style that is intentionally shaped to be accessible for those with sensory limitations.

Kids

We want the children of Redemption Hill Church to have a deeply rooted confidence in the character of God so they passionately follow Him through good and bad times. Our hope is to partner with parents in the discipleship of their children by providing environments, curriculum, and resources that center on the gospel and teach the nature and character of God. Children are a gift from God to us and we work hard to engage them in the life of the church.

Each Sunday our worship gatherings provide a fun, clean, safe, and protected environment for our children to learn about Jesus. We have a great team of volunteers who have been screened and trained. Learn more about current opportunities for kids here.

Parking

Most street parking is free and has no time limit on Sundays. Signs that list a 2-hour time limit are generally restricted only Monday-Friday. You should be able to find parking within a few-block radius of the church building.

There are a few sections that are explicitly marked by red signs as “Zone 6 Resident Permit Parking Only”. These are not good places to park.

Metro

Both the BlueOrange, and Silver lines run through the Eastern Market Metro Station. As you arrive at the Eastern Market Station exit via the escalators and turn 180 degrees to walk toward the CVS at the corner of 7th St & D St SE and continue down D St SE. Ebenezer UMC is only three blocks down at 4th & D St SE.
