That You May Have Certainty - Luke 1:1-4
September 7, 2014
The Gospel of Luke presents the historical details of Jesus’ life and ministry with clarity and precision, with the goal of providing certainty to all who believe. Luke places Jesus within the context of the first century not only among the Jewish people, but among the whole of the Roman Empire. In doing so he shows that this is good news for all people and that Jesus is the very foundation for the movement that exploded onto the world’s scene.
In the first sermon of this series, Pastor Bill introduces Luke, the person, and Luke, the Gospel. All of this was written that we may have certainty.
