Redemption Hill Church
In the city, for the city

2017 Women's Conference

At some point in our lives we come to the end of ourselves. Sometimes through suffering and brokenness, other times through conviction from the Holy Spirit through God's Word. When we repent and receive grace, something happens within us. We are awakened. That awakening changes everything. We are transformed in our very souls as to be children of light and begin an awakened life.

Join the women of Redemption Hill this October as we hear from God's Word and each other, celebrate the ways God has awakened our spirits, praise God for His work, and ask the Holy Spirit to bring about new levels of wakefulness and repentance.

  • Forgiveness: The Extension of Christ in our Lives – As we experience the forgiveness offered by the gospel, we are prepared and empowered to navigate the complexities of forgiving others.
  • Depression – When the "joy of your salvation" is overcome by the weight of the world, and praising God just doesn't flow easily. How we remember God's promises and enjoy his goodness when our hearts and minds can't rejoice.
  • Hyper-Spirituality is when we (usually implicitly) think that obedience to God and giving glory to God is about payback. We turn astonishment over the gospel into fuel for measuring up. Come discover how freedom from doing comes from being in Christ and enjoying all that he has already done.
  • Rhythms: Practicing the Presence of God – Exploring rhythms and ways of being that slow us down to connect deeply with God, others, and ourselves. We will be focused on "doing the work of obedience as fueled by the Spirit". When the gospel transforms people's affections - and consequently, our behaviors, the message of salvation is not the foundation for religious busywork.

3pm - Session 3: Story Sharing
5pm - Celebratory Feast! (provided; veggie & gluten free options available)
