December 24 at 5pm

Join us on December 24 for a traditional Christmas Eve service at 5pm. For those of you that will be around, it will be a sweet time together, a family service with kids included. We will sing Christmas hymns, have a short reflection, and share communion together.

December 31 at 9am

On New Year’s Eve we will have one service at 9am. It will also be a family service (no childcare), with a shorter teaching time. As we close 2017 we will also close our series in Habakkuk. Each week Redemption Hill Church gathers together for worship. At these gatherings you can expect times of singing and prayer, preaching from the Bible, and an opportunity to connect with others in community. Come as you are, dressed as you like. You can expect to find a warm community and a safe place to ask questions.

Kids

Both Christmas Eve and New Years Eve will be Family Sundays. A few times each year Redemption Hill gathers at one service with our families. This means that everyone will be in service – parents, kids, singles, community groups, everyone together. We’ll have a simpler service of extended singing together and a shorter sermon. Our hope is that this will be a sweet time of gathering together as the young, the old, and everyone in-between declare the praises of our God and fellowship as a united body. This also gives a chance for our teams to rest, especially our Kids Worship, Band, and Tech teams.

These patterns are formative and fun for our church. It will help us center on Jesus as the most important aspect of gathering together on Sunday and it will give us perspective and opportunity to be the family that God has made us to be.

Parking

Most street parking is free and has no time limit on Sundays. Signs that list a 2-hour time limit are generally restricted only Monday-Friday. You should be able to find parking within a few-block radius of the church building.

There are a few sections that are explicitly marked by red signs as “Zone 6 Resident Permit Parking Only”. These are not good places to park.

Metro

Both the BlueOrange, and Silver lines run through the Eastern Market Metro Station. As you arrive at the Eastern Market Station exit via the escalators and turn 180 degrees to walk toward the CVS at the corner of 7th St & D St SE and continue down D St SE. Ebenezer UMC is only three blocks down at 4th & D St SE.
