2016 Opportunity Fund
After three years of planning and preparation, Redemption Hill was able to launch a morning service in September of this year. A move to the morning was a well-considered risk because we knew it would open greater missional opportunity toward people we missed by only having services in the evening. It also can increase our capacity for continued growth and greater stability. But, the support a morning service requires is significant.
We need your help!
While our reserves are healthy and could cover the cost of the morning service expansion, we started the Opportunity Fund to allow us to cover the costs without using more of this reserve than necessary. The cost includes increased facility cost, increased staffing as we made the Director of Operations role full-time to handle the increased logistics, and some cost for signage and to raise awareness.
The total cost for one full year came to $40,000. That averages out to less than $230 per member to cover the entire year.
As you prayerfully consider giving to Redemption Hill at the end of this year, keep both the Opportunity Fund and the General Fund in mind. Remember that all donations are tax-deductible. We would love to see the full amount raised by the end of 2016 because that would set us up to start 2017 in a great position for ministry. If we are able to raise more than our goal amount, we will give a percentage of all of the funds raised directly into church planting.

What does this money go toward?
The Opportunity Fund will help cover costs incurred with our morning service launch. This includes, but is not limited to: facility rental increase, increased staffing, new signage.
What will happen to any money raised over the $40,000 needed?
If we raise more than the $40,000 needed to cover the morning service a percentage will go towards other church plants that we support, including Village Church in Belfast, Ireland and Doxa Inglesia in Mexico City, Mexico. Additional money may also be used to further the work here in DC.
